MISAMIS ORIENTAL

HULUGA CAVES

A cave were the artifacts found from Tsina around 2500 B.C. Located at East bank of Cagayan River, an eight kilometers away from Saint Augustine Cathedral.

MACAHAMBUS CAVE

A hiding place before, the cave is an area that is part of thr Macahambus Forest. This cave is a house of colony of bats, also a tourist spot attraction and it is also equipped with path and walkable scenic trail.

SINULOG FESTIVAL IN DAPITAN

 

Sinulog Festival is to celebrate and honor for Santo NiÑo. The main features of it is the street parade,with participants wearing bright and colorful costumes dancing to the rhythm of drums,trumpets, and native gongs.



 

 



 

 

 

KINABAYO FESTIVAL IN DAPITAN

It is celebrated every July 25 in Dapitan City,Zamboanga Del Norte Philippines. It re-inacting Spanish Moorish Wars,mainly called a battle of Covadonga where the Spanish forces under General Pelagio took their last stands againts Sacaran.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ZAMBOANGA HERMOSA FESTIVAL

It is popurlarly known as Fiesta Pilar, held to honor of the miraculos image of  Our Lady of Pilar at the legendary Fort Pilar. Zamboanga displays her devotion with nine-night procession, there are also fireworks,an ethnic parade,cultural show,regatta,and the most highlight is the MISS ZAMBOANGA parade.It is celebrated on October 1 to 12.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SIBUG-SIBUG FESTIVAL SIBUGAY

Celebrated during their foundation day in their province of Sibugay on February 26. Having a colorful ethinic street dancing with rituals illustrating good harvest, and healing rituals. ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE

DAPITAN RIZAL SHRINE

The most historical place in Dapitan City,where Dr. Jose Rizal spend his exile. A second home for him where he spent the last days of his life. In here you can find the clothes he wore,his teachings and his art pieces. There are also small huts,he built a small clinic,a kitchen,a classroom for his students,a dormitory,and even a toilet. One of the most well preserve in here is the dam, where he and his students built,provided an irrigation for Rizal's small farm.

Pasonanca Park located in Bry.Pasonanca,Zamboanga City. The construction of the park was started in 1912 by General John J. Pershing,governor of Moro Province,and completed in administration of the Frank W. Carpenter. It has a campsite were in the male and female were separated ,an amphitheatre, and a convention center, and other facilities. They have also a swimming pools, a Tree house, La Jardin de Maria Clara Lobregat and Butterfly Park.
